2004 - 2005-2010: Training resource development - project work

Contracted to produce a Food & Wine trade training module to complement existing training modules that are part of the Tourism New Zealand’s global trade training programme.

Contracted to produce special interest topics for the travel trade i.e.; diving, golf, skiing, gardening, and geothermal.



Feb 2002 – Sept 2003: Business Development Manager, Sydney

Role objective: To create an increase in motivation to sell New Zealand

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and managing an industry training and education programme.
  • Contributing to the management of the promotional and relationship activity of a retail partnership programme KEA (Kiwi Expert Agent) in Australia.
  • Contributing to the management of Industry events.

Achievements:

Development of an online training programme for the Australian travel industry that was used as a model for rolling out a global programme to key Tourism New Zealand markets.

Tourism New Zealand 100% Pure Achievement award 2003.


Oct 1999 – Feb 2002: Operations Support Co-ordinator, Wellington

Role objective: To provide support to Tourism New Zealand's overseas offices in their efforts to promote the 100% Pure New Zealand campaign and educate the international travel industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Los Angeles, New York, London and Frankfurt offices in  their day to day activities.
  • Supporting General Manager Operations with ad-hoc projects
  • Supporting Emerging Markets Manager

Achievement:

Production of a comprehensive self-drive itinerary planning tool for use by offshore trade.
